Client Profile:  Boston area Pharmaceutical Company.

Challenge:  Our client needed assistance to ensure compliance for product delivery from a third party software development firm.  The client was about to receive what they had been told was a final delivery of the product, but with the knowledge that an earlier delivery was not acceptable.

Solution:  SQA reviewed the contract terms for the client and with the third party, and helped to provide quality gates using a smoke test. SQA also provided governance for the ongoing process, ensured that the user acceptance test process was efficient and used key metrics to accurately determine schedules and the level of quality of deliveries.

Impact:  Our client was able to prevent missed deadlines, save approximately $500,000 and install a product that fulfilled the initial internal customer requirements. In addition, the lessons learned were leveraged to examine additional processes within the organization.
