Challenge: Our retail client with annual revenue of $11 billion experienced serious performance issues with its online store. Our client believed slow response times and unacceptable delays during peak shopping hours severely stunted growth of their ecommerce business. Further, the company lacked an automated test architecture for both functional regression testing and for performance testing.
Solution: SQA was hired to assess both the existing testing framework and their approach to test automation. We also provided a number of recommendations as well as a detailed roadmap for improving automated testing.
Impact: After beginning to implement the automation strategy, this client has significantly improved their regression test coverage and the site's overall performance.
